‘Hi Martha
Thank you very much for letting us visit your wonderful school over lunch today particularly when you had a learning review going on as well.
Thanks for also giving us some of your time.
Your children, staff and curriculum are a credit to you.’
Islington, Headteacher
Excerpt from a letter (abridged):
‘I had the privilege of providing consultancy and coaching at St. Mark’s Primary School over the past two terms. The school’s behaviour policy is the most comprehensive and effective I have encountered, with clear, positive impacts visible across the school.
Martha, I commend you and your team for your dedication to preparing St. Mark’s children for life beyond the classroom. The intentional teaching of positive behaviour and the consistent challenge to negative behaviour will undoubtedly help them make appropriate behaviour choices throughout their school life.’

‘It’s been an honour and pleasure to work with the team at St.Marks. The staff is friendly, attentive and professional. The senior leadership is personally involved in the daily running of the school and always around if you need someone to turn to for support. What stands out to me is how children with special and emotional needs have staff members so attuned to their needs, offering them quite spaces and one-to-one time and staying so patient and calm. The key workers were always open to new ideas and willing to learn. I was also offered a lovely space to hold my play therapy sessions. The children were well looked after and offered a safe and nurturing environment to develop and thrive. I highly recommend the school and their exceptional quality of care. Please keep doing the wonderful work you’re doing!’

‘Good morning Martha,
Just a brief note of thanks for allowing me to come and visit your wonderful school on Wednesday.
I really enjoyed visiting the school, meeting some staff and also the impeccably well-behaved children. St Marks is a beautiful school and the outdoor environment such an oasis and well planned space for children to play, grow, reflect and socialise.
Thank you for outlining the curriculum, which is so clearly linked to the school’s vision, and it is wholly clear that the curriculum is personalised, well thought through and progressive. I am still digesting my new learning and the 7 biomes, with the new one being Taiga (you learn something new every day). I really enjoyed meeting your junior leadership team, I was struck by their articulation, clarity and personal responsibility to their role. I really do like that concept too, new to me, but feels those pupils have responsibility and power.
My thanks and gratitude to you, Sean and your wonderful staff and governors, you have developed a high performing team and they certainly make a difference to the lives of your children and community.’

‘I am so pleased with my daughter’s academic and social progress in the school but also the great care she (and I) have received. I would love the opportunity to help the school continue to be a fantastic part of the community which brings about good outcomes for children and their families.’
