As always at St. Mark’s, our children and staff have been working hard to create our latest Hall Art. This particular work has been inspired by the LGBT+ community and their struggle for equality – with a specific focus on sports.
The creation of this work is based on the need for all people to be treated equally and fairly; regardless of age, race, gender or even who they choose to love. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect, compassion and kindness. Our vision, ‘Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path’, is written for everyone and at school we celebrate that!
We are all different, and as such, our art reflects that. However, more importantly, the differences which make us so special and unique are matched by the ties which bind us: faith, hope and love – ‘and the greatest is love!’ 1 Corinthians 13:13
