A while ago (!) we visited the Garden Classroom at Whittington Park. We heard The Enormous Turnip as told by the lovely Viv, then we retold it using props indoors and out. We even had time for a cheeky break in the playground!
When we got back to school we wrote our own version of this funny story, The Enormous Ice Cream and the children used names of people they knew to do our shared write. Perhaps you could write your own at home?
A big thank you again to all the adults who supported on this trip, we cannot run these lovely excursions without you.
