Our recent Spring topic was ‘Changes within living memory.’
The children are developing an awareness of the past and we started off our topic by looking at toys.
We are exploring the ways in which toys have changed over time of our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. We then asked ourselves, what toys would we have in the future?
If we could invent a toy what would it be? What would it do?
The children really enjoyed discussing, sketching, designing and making their toy creations. We used boxes, plastic, paper, foil, card, cups and all sorts of interesting shapes to create our new masterpieces.
It was a fun and engaging process to say the least!
