This week in Onyx class, we visited the Sobell leisure centre to participate in the Islington Junior Citizenship Programme.
We got to participate in fun and engaging workshops, held by agencies such as: the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, Transport for London, Forum + and Arsenal FC in the Community.
We learned lots about the different services offered by each of these agencies, and took part in interactive scenarios, which helped us to understand and consider how to react most safely in different scenarios, which had been developed to suit local problems.
This was a really great and engaging session, and we are definitely safer citizens of Islington because of it.
