Islington Church Schools came together this week for a day of prayer.
Prayer stations, created by the children in all eight schools, were set up in St Mary’s Church Upper Street. The prayer stations took children on a spiritual journey, beginning with Jesus being tempted in the wilderness, to Jerusalem, to the cross and onto the resurrection.
Throughout the day, children in Year 3 or 4 from every school, visited the church and spent time in prayer, reflection and quiet contemplation.
Our Opal Class went along and enjoyed the different activities which were thought provoking and fun.
Well done Opal Class for engaging so enthusiastically! We hope it helps you to understand the true meaning of Easter..
