Paula and the team from Billingsgate Market visited Ruby Class last Friday to teach us about lots of the different types of fish that we can find in the ocean.
We learned how to peel a prawn and then we were lucky enough to eat them! Most of us LOVED them and wanted a second.
We then looked at, and touched lots of interesting fish and sea creatures including mussels, a crab, a hake, mackerel, sardines, red gurnard and a squid. Some members of Ruby Class were even brave enough to touch the fish’s eyes!
Paula then showed us how to mix together a delicious mackerel, couscous and roasted vegetable dish which we all enjoyed thoroughly.
We had an amazing time and learnt a lot!
