Dear parents/ carers,
Please follow the guidance below to support your children at home during this challenging time of school closure:-
Maths/ English
CGP Comprehension Books Year 1-6:- Choose 3x Comprehension activities per week for your child to complete at home. These activities can be completed in any order. Please Do NOT allow your child to race through the book without structure. Where appropriate, you should complete these activities with your child rather than allowing them to work alone.
CGP Maths Workout (Reception/ Year 1 & 2)/ Targeted Question Question Book (Year 3-5):- complete a ‘section’ of the book daily. E.g. Day 1- Place Value, Day 2- Fractions, Day 3- Percentages Etc.
Please do NOT allow your child to race through the book without structure. These activities can be completed independently if appropriate but you should mark your child’s work with them. (Answers are in the back of workbooks)
English Handwriting- Targeted Practice Book- (Reception Only):- Please complete one page daily with your child.
Year 6 Only- Maths, Reading Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling SAT Buster Books:- Every day Complete 1 x 10 minute SAT Buster Test from each of the 3 books. These should be completed in addition to your regular CGP Revision packs.
Regular CGP Revision Books- complete a ‘section’ of the book daily. E.g. Day 1- Place Value, Day 2- Fractions- Day 3, Percentages Etc. Do NOT allow your child to race through the book without structure. These activities can be completed independently but you should mark your child’s work with them when appropriate. (Some workbooks have answers at the back)
