Today, we went back in time. We looked at food from the WW2 era, art from Dunkirk, and also learnt about the bravery of the ordinary man and woman after saving the British Expeditionary Force, from the beaches of France.
It was great fun, but what was you favourite part? Why did you think this?
My favourite part was retelling the story of the Dunkirk evacuation. The story often makes me think of how, when we work together, we can achieve great things. Also in this week of compassion, we saw it first hand in the bravery of those men and women who saved the soldiers.
My favourite part of the emersion day was when Ms Braithwaite came running into our class and said to line up. Then when we followed her she took us to a basement under the school which I never knew was there.
My favourite part of this emersion day was when we made corn beef hash because it made me think about how citizens in WW2 lived their lives.
My favourite bit was when we went to the bunker.
I believe my favourite part was when we made the Corned Beef Hash. It is my favourite since everyone got to see the food sizzle in the pan.
My favourite part of the dress up day was when we make corn beef hash and then when down in the bunker were we don’t know and then we made the tags it was all fun.
My favourite part about emersion day was making corn beef hash it was tasty and was also fun making but it was hard knowing how hard rationing was especially having small parts of food.
