Over the last couple weeks, we have been developing our outdoor mud kitchen area. To create extra opportunities for outdoor learning to create purposeful mess. When children are engaged in exploring the Mud kitchen it brings so many benefits to a child’s learning. The mud kitchen promotes imaginary play as children explore the natural materials around them using them as different prompts to support their play ideas.
It’s a great way for children to feel connected with nature and develop an appreciation for the environment. The mud kitchen is also great for children, who enjoy sensory play. It provides opportunity for children to test ideas, problem solve as they communicate with one another.
