Something i have learned about light is that there are 2 types of light, diffuse light and specular light. Diffuse light is when light bounces off an uneven surface whereas specular reflection is when light bounces off a smooth, shiny surface. If we’re talking about how a periscope works, light comes from a source, bounces onto an object, then into the periscope and bounces (reflects) off the 1st mirror at the top then reflects down to the 2nd mirror bounces off and the light goes into our eyes allowing us to see through it. (the periscope.)
in this lesson we learned as made periscopes. The way a periscope works is that, light goes from the light source to an abject, from there the light go into the mirror and then travel to the mirror at the bottom and then the image reflects into your eyes
i have lernt about periscopes is that the light comes through the top and the light bounces of the top mirror because light always travels in a strait line then it bounces off the bottem one and then into your eye we were makeing periscops in class and we did lots of cuting and sticing and folding it was fun :)
Something that I learnt when making Periscopes was that light bounces off an object and reflects into our eyes so we can see. There are two types of light, The first one is diffuse light which is light that bounces off an un-even surface and the second one is specular light and that is when light bounces off a smooth surface and into our eyes.
I have learnt that translucent means a material which only some light can pass through. To make a periscope work there has to be a light source and a object. The light reflects of the object and bounces of the mirrors and into the persons eyes.
In our science lessons I have learnt that light only travels in a straight line.
The steps for a periscope to work are:
1. Light goes from a light source to an object
2. the light bounces from the object to the top mirror
3. the light bounces from the top mirror to the bottom mirror
4. the image reflects into your eyes so you can see the object
light is faster than sound that what i have learnt

Light sources – Stuff that makes light for example, the sun, a flashlight, etc.
